New and inexperienced, kids at this age require more direction and management. They're learning the basics, and we as leaders use a more directional style leadership at this phase. In parallel, we are laying the foundation through the FLiP framework for the mutually respectful interactions that become increasingly valuable as our kids age.
This age provides us with insight into the true nature of our children - and it is essential to catch a glimpse so that we can nurture these gifts as our children grow and become challenged by the fast paced, competitive culture.
