As both a mom and an executive strategist, Laurie has identified striking similarities between the leadership and management of exceptional businesses and exceptional families – especially with respect to developing, empowering and inspiring future leaders who can make a positive and productive impact. Universal principles are at play in the workplace, at home, and at school.
In addition to work in corporate strategy and ethics, Laurie served as an advisor to Stanford University’s national campaign for the well being of youth, Challenge Success: Championing a Broader Vision of Success for Youth.
From individual executives and families to start ups, non-profits and Fortune 500 companies, Laurie's clients include Genentech, NBC, 3M, Baxter International, Edwards Lifesciences, Medco, and The Ethics Resource Council. FLIP programs are available in the communities of Menlo Park, Newport Beach & Danville, at High Schools including Corona del Mar and San Ramon Valley and in the workplace at Workday.
Laurie received a BS from the University of California, Davis and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
Julie Kliger
Directing a portfolio of $12M focused on addressing practice redesign in health care, Julie has applied her expertise in the area of leadership development and quality improvement to the healthcare field with organizations that include University of California at San Francisco Medical Center, Stanford University Hospital, San Francisco General Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers, and Daughters of Charity Health System. Her work has been nationally recognized for its unprecedented improvement results.
Recognizing that the fundamental leadership curriculum she has developed and effectively implemented in healthcare organizations are effective in family and educational organizations as well, she is working with FLiP to apply her extensive leadership development expertise to benefit the next generation of leaders.
Julie received a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Columbia University in New York City and a Bachelor’s of Arts from U.C. Berkeley. A national expert in the field, she has been an invited speaker at numerous national conferences including, Joint Commission, National Quality Forum, University Health Consortium (UHC), RAND Corp., Stanford University, American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), BMJ’s International Conference, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), Moore Foundation.
